Job Description:

Crowe is a leading healthcare audit company that provides innovative solutions to help healthcare organizations improve their financial performance and operational efficiency. Our team of experts delivers exceptional service and results to our clients, which include hospitals, physician groups and other healthcare providers. As a Product Owner in the Healthcare delivery unit, you will be responsible for delighting customers with impactful products that reduce risk, drive data driven results and ultimately decrease hours spent on tedious manual processes. You will work collaboratively with product management, cross-functional teams, and clients to gather requirements, refine user stories, prioritize and continuously refine the backlog utilizing Agile/Scrum methodologies. You are a critical team member that negotiates and collaborates to bring products into the market.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience – certified Product Owner
  • 1-2 Agile/Scrum experience OR 2-3 years in business analyst role
  • You thrive in fast-paced environments
  • You have experience leading an Agile scrum team
  • You enjoy collaboration and owning outcomes
  • Possesses deep knowledge of SDLC processes, Agile/Scrum methodologies, DevOps & Quality Assurance processes
  • Experience managing customer expectations
  • Possess technical acumen, the ability to describe and gather product requirements and get feedback from technical staff
  • Understands the value in making decisions utilizing data to support your path forward.
  • Advanced experience working with large, complex data sets within large organizations
  • Able to Work with cross functional and international teams
  • Ability to understand, communicate and engage effectively with multiple stakeholders and interactions
  • Acts as a servant leader to the team, creative thinker with an innovative mindset.
  • Learning to utilize the tools and techniques available to gather customer/user feedback and data and apply it to your product backlog items.
  • Strong project organizations skill, including prioritization, planning and organization
  • Strong problem-solving, listening, written and verbal communication, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
  • This position requires up to 10% travel.

What will set you apart from other candidates for this role:

  • Have 3+ plus years of healthcare revenue cycle industry experience is a must
  • Experience working with healthcare providers, health systems or the healthcare industry
  • Experience developing/implementing a revenue cycle product
  • Experience translating revenue cycle business needs into technical requirements to build and transform data into valuable, easy-to-understand insights
  • Expert in communicating and collaborating with international resources
  • Understanding of revenue cycle consulting
  • Strong financial, analytical, technical, and interpersonal skills

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Translates high level business requirements into detailed requirements (user stories) to be used by the development team in each sprint, while ensuring stories and features are added iteratively to the product to add overall value
  • Drives agile development & testing teams by creating detailed requirements in the form of user stories from inception to delivery
  • Ability to create space for others in your team to do their best work by managing client or stakeholder relationships
  • Contributes to overall scope and planning of a project, including working with business stakeholders and partner with product management to understand ‘why’ we are working on something before development begins
  • Analyzes data to ensure features are aligned with product goals/objectives and delivering the most business value
  • Analyzes product data to make decisions and report to stakeholders “why” decisions are made.
  • communicate changes of plan or slip in timelines to a broad group within your organization and manage expectations effectively until resolution.
  • Holds a central position in each of the product/application development cycle with an in-depth working knowledge of Revenue Cycle in Healthcare
  • You help your team to make decisions in a timelier manner, breaking down assumptions about the shape of the work and encouraging people to value done over perfect.
  • Makes improvements to maintain the product's competitiveness, adds new features or functionalities or enhance the existing ones to attract more customers.
  • A key strategist in developing functionality, based on full understanding of specific business functions, considering all of the associated business & technical dependencies involved
  • Plays an active role in creating requirements and roadmaps based on business priorities, track and manage progress of the product deliverables
  • Manages a story backlog to ensure readiness of user stories for the upcoming sprint and creates acceptance criteria that is clear, concise, and actionable
  • Works with other product owners when necessary to ensure that business requirements are translated into accurate, actionable user stories
  • Works with Dev and QA to understand the business need and requirements of any given story
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement across product, process and team
  • Provide project support during release and implementation periods
