We are seeking an experienced and energetic Product Owner to join our product and engineering team to continue evolution of sophisticated Online Forms and Web Content Management Systems.
The Product Owner is responsible for gathering business requirements from cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high quality and innovative product developments.
This role requires expert product ownership skills with a focus on collaboration, agile processes, prioritisation and project execution. You will define acceptance criteria for stories and validate that they are met. You will manage a product backlog, delivering a prioritised set of stories for the product.
As a Product Owner, you are responsible for delivering product concepts and maintaining products.
What your impact will be:
- Act as the agile product owner on an engineering scrum team(s)
- Own and prioritise the backlog for a feature area in collaboration with the Product Manager
- Prioritise tradeoffs, clarify requirements and work to drive user stories to acceptance throughout the agile development lifecycle
- Participate in sprint planning, review, and retrospective meetings and provide feedback to the team
- Ensure acceptance criteria are clearly defined and verify that story implementation matches requirements
- Drive projects to completion
- Maintain constant communication with the team(s)
- Enable internal teams to support product
- Report on progress of delivery
You will love this job if you have:
- 3+ years of experience as a product owner working in a SCRUM team, product development and/or product management
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to influence without authority and champion change
- Ability to work with a entirely distributed team, across timezones
- Ability to develop an understanding of community engagement principles and methodologies
- Strong analytical skills
- Passion for customer and good user experience
- Relentless commitment to prioritisation, including the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, work constructively with stakeholders, work with limited supervision.
- Expert-level user of Jira to maintain a quality backlog of stories linked to Epics and Releases
- Ability to quickly get up to speed with the current software’s features and functions
- Some experience running all Scrum meetings in a Scrum Master capacity
