What you’ll do:

  • Translate the Wowza strategy and features into well-defined, implementable user stories with clear expectations and details needed for implementation by our top-notch development team.
  • Prioritize the backlog with conviction, ensuring that the features customers value most get into their hands as soon as possible.
  • Discuss the details with the engineers doing the implementation. Find better ways to deliver, faster, and with future flexibility in mind.
  • Own the hard decisions and make tradeoffs. Not everything can be a top priority.
  • Work iteratively, release frequently, and incorporate what you’ve learned back into the product.
  • Validate your assumptions, your features, and your priority with customers. They define a job well done.
  • Work proactively to predict and minimize potential issues before they arise.
  • Keep the rest of Wowza informed. Share the good news and the bad news before they turn into surprises.
  • Support Sales, Customer Success, Product Content, and Support as the subject matter expert for the product(s) you own.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product Content, Marketing, Support, and Sales on the prioritization, launch, and support of new product enhancements.

About You:

  • 1-3 years in a Product Ownership/Product Management position, specifically with technical products.
  • Experience applying Agile development practices, collaborating with software development teams to iteratively deliver continuously improving solutions to the market.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with streaming video and/or B2B SaaS solutions preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, and verbal/written communication skills with the demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships across organizational teams in a dynamic environment.

Benefits

Salary: $90,000-$110,000

  • Bonus Eligible

The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of our salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on a range of factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies. The salary is one component of our total compensation package for employees.
