The hiring manager for this role is Gareth Llewellyn, our Managing Director for Brew Digital.

About the role

Join Brew Digital as a Project Manager and take charge of overseeing and ensuring the successful execution of a wide range of digital projects. From site builds and launches to web applications and advertising campaigns, you'll play a crucial role in the day-to-day management and smooth operation of these projects. You will lead a delivery squad composed of developers and designers. The squad is very autonomous and holds its own freedom and responsibility in the work that they perform.

Working alongside a highly talented and diverse cross-functional team, you'll deliver top-notch quality service to our customers, providing a human touch to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. As a Project Manager, you will also have the opportunity to assist in account management, serving as the primary point of contact for clients during ongoing work. This presents an excellent chance to foster and strengthen relationships as you help develop and grow our client base. At Brew Digital, you'll be part of an exciting and dynamic environment, driving innovation and making a significant impact as we are highly selective with the clients we work with, and we very often try to work with clients who are making a positive impact to the world.

What you'll be doing

- Working with the multi-disciplined team to scope and estimate individual projects, creating and managing a detailed work plan

- Driving the execution for a number of design, web development or digital marketing projects to ensure on-time delivery within budget

- Meeting our exceptionally high standards by following processes, resolving operational problems, and identifying opportunities for improvement

- Identifying and managing required resources to ensure work tasks are delivered successfully, working with other Project Managers to secure additional skills when needed

- Tracking projects against plans and budgets, and provide detailed and accurate reporting internally and externally

- Developing the client relationship by being the main point of contact right from the very first sales discussions, and throughout the lifecycle of the project, also ensuring the client is receiving excellent communication, and high quality work according to the agreed specification

- Co-ordinating the creation of proposals, pitches and contracts, as well as providing regular progress reports, negotiating commercial aspects, and ensuring financial reporting and invoicing is accurate

What we're looking for

- Educated to degree level or higher, or the equivalent experience.

- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple cross-functional IT, software, web or systems projects

- Experience with project management practices and tools to create, manage and track project plans and performance

- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills, both written and verbal

- Strong commercial understanding and numeracy skills

- Ability to combine attention to detail, with understanding of “big picture” and trade-offs

- Experience using a variety of project management and delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, Monday.com, ActiveCollab, Google suite, Microsoft Office suite

- Understanding of software development lifecycle and practices (A bonus!)

- Understanding of Project Management and Software Engineering methodologies, e.g. Agile approaches (e.g. Scrum, SAFe), Waterfall, PRINCE2, etc. (A bonus!)

- Enthusiasm for new technology and using it for problem solving and process improvement (A bonus!)
