Project Manager

Pavilion Payments is looking for an experienced project manager to be responsible for leading our company's ongoing projects. You will be working closely with your team members, customers, and cross functional departments to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track. Key responsibilities include developing project plans, identifying dependencies, preparing status reports, capturing issues/risks and establishing effective project communication plans as well as the proper execution of said plans.

To be a successful candidate, you will need to have proven experience in project management and the ability to lead project teams of various sizes. Strong understanding of PMBOK and Agile methodologies will be necessary to be successful in this role.

Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Exercises discretion and independent judgment managing projects of intermediate complexity and specific activities with cross-discipline team members within given constraints of scope, schedule, budget, and quality through the duration of a program.
  • Customarily and regularly coordinate, plan, and execute various program activities including the development, quality, launch, maximize and retire phases of the product lifecycle.
  • Exercises discretion and independent judgment developing detailed project plans for managing the critical path and major milestones for product launches and/or complex product deployments.
  • Responsible for ensuring timely and effective delivery of the solution into production.
  • Communicates effectively and consistently with management and cross-functional business team members.
  • Serves as liaison and primary point of contact for internal cross-functional program communications with multiple departments and leads.
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting project costs, status, and quality to stakeholders and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Customarily and regularly manages projects using formal project planning techniques.
  • Provides guidance to other team members when appropriate.
  • Meeting with project team members to identify and resolve risks and issues.
  • Submitting project deliverables and ensuring that they adhere to quality standards.
  • Preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.
  • Coordinating the development of user manuals, training materials, and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation and turnover of the process or system to the clients.
  • Managing customer satisfaction within the project transition period.
  • Maintaining key success indicators as identified by the PMO and product team.
  • Conducting post-project evaluation and identifying successful elements and areas for improvement.

Project Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Information Technology or related certification and work experience required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
  • Agile Scrum Master certification is a plus.
  • 7+ years of proven experience in project management.
  • Ability to develop and manage detailed project plans and schedules in Microsoft Project, Smartsheet or similar WBS delivery.
  • Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion.
  • Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies.
  • 6-8 years' experience as a Technical Project Manager, Program Manager or Product Marketing Manager.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Fast paced environment: ability to juggle multiple projects and initiatives.
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Adept at negotiating internally as well as externally.
