THIS IS A FIXED TERM (NON FULL-TIME) POSITION

The Role

As a project manager, you will be responsible for leading teams in defining and executing projects that impact our company objectives.This individual will play a key role in helping to define best practices for the PMO and collaboration for the larger EPD organization..We are seeking strong candidates to help strengthen, mature, and sustain momentum we’ve achieved thus far as we continue embark on on our transformation. 

What You'll Do

  • Actively manage multiple medium-sized and large-scale project of varying complexity from beginning to end
  • Take program and portfolio roadmaps and break down the work into actionable workstreams and deliverables
  • Be a change agent and lead transformation management efforts
  • Facilitate planning, prioritization, and tradeoff discussions
  • Succinctly communicate to engineer and product managers, directors, and non-technical business stakeholders about project milestones, issues, risks, decisions needed
  • Develop strong partnerships across cross-functional teams and create project artifacts (plans, reports, decks, process maps, dashboards, etc.)
  • Define short term strategies for the function and PMO
  • Evangelize the function and create excitement about the purpose of PMO
  • Supports a scrum (durable) team
  1. Serve as a scrum master for at least 1 durable team consisting of 1 product manager, 1 engineering manager, and a team of front and backend engineers
  2. Lead team(s) through scrum ceremonies
  3. Effectively communicate agile principles, scrum practices, and overall operating model across the organization
  4. Responsible for daily follow-ups with individual teams to ensure projects are on track and goals are being met
  5. Keep an objective perspective on issues and troubleshoot by applying agile principles

  • Time Management: Excellent time management and organizational skills to efficiently prioritize and execute testing tasks.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective interaction with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-Motivated: A self-motivated problem solver capable of independently executing complex tasks with limited instruction.
  • Agile Experience: Experience working in an Agile environment, adapting to changing requirements and contributing to iterative development.
  • Quality Advocate: A staunch advocate for quality and user experience, striving to deliver products that meet and exceed user expectations.
  • Curiosity and Problem-Solving: An inquisitive mind and continuous curiosity that drives you toward creative and effective problem-solving.
  • SQL Proficiency: Comfort and proficiency in writing SQL queries for database testing and validation.
  • Technical Skills: Experience working in a virtual machine (VM) environment and with command-line interfaces.

  • 5+ years of project / program management experience working with Agile and Predictive methodologies, preferably in fast-paced, high growth environments
  • Certified scrum master
  • High tolerance for ambiguity with the ability to quickly define and execute cross-functional plans and actions with measurable impact
  • Strong planning and problem solving skills enabling you to deliver solid business solutions
  • Ability to interact confidently with senior management leaders to confidently address challenges, handle push-back, and maintain a proactive team-centric approach
  • Skilled at prioritizing and balancing multiple projects 
  • Understanding of organizational dynamics, proven ability to influence stakeholders with functional and global reach
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a fully virtual environment, successfully building strong relationships remotely
  • Excellent with written and verbal communication
  • The ideal candidate has a passion for driving change and motivating teams through results driven approaches to solving problems
  • Must be able to interpret and create workflow and process diagrams
  • Familiarity with Google Docs, Confluence, and Jira

The cash compensation for this position is $70/HR
