The Role:

CALSTART is looking for a Northeast Electric Fleets Project Manager to support fleet electrification efforts across the region. The selected candidate will provide technical assistance and outreach support for CALSTART’s implementation of programs such as Mass Fleet Advisor, the New York Truck Voucher Incentive Program (NYTVIP), and new programs throughout the Northeast. This role will help fleet operators navigate the transition to electric vehicles and meaningfully contribute to cleaner air in the communities they serve. This position will engage with industry leaders, state agencies, utilities, and other fleet-transition stakeholders. This position will be a critical member of CALSTART’s Northeast Region team, with the option to work remotely and/or from our Brooklyn office.

What You'll Do:

  • Support the Northeast Region team’s work to implement the New York Truck Voucher Incentive Program, Mass Fleet Advisor, NYC DOT Clean Trucks Program, and additional projects
  • Prioritize equity and broad representation in program design, implementation, outreach, and team operations
  • Collaborate with external project partners including state agencies, consultants, and fleet operators
  • Produce clear, concise written reports and presentation materials
  • Contribute to project management including ongoing progress tracking and reporting
  • Support the Northeast Region team’s pursuit of new business opportunities related to clean trucks programming

What You'll Bring To The Table:

  • 3+ years of experience working in the transportation or clean energy industry supporting the adoption of clean transportation technologies
  • A bachelor’s degree in sustainability, engineering, urban planning, or other related fields
  • Knowledge of electric vehicles, and/or medium- and heavy-duty vehicle fleet operations
  • Prior experience facilitating fleet electrification through multi-stakeholder coordination including electric utilities
  • Experience with grassroots community engagement for transportation, mobility, affordable housing, social and/or environmental justice
  • Experience working cross-functionally across different departments, stakeholders and/or agencies to achieve shared goals
  • Demonstrate a passion and commitment for social justice, environmental justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience managing multiple multiyear projects
  • Certificate in project management
  • Knowledge and experience working on challenging legal and contractual matters
  • Familiarity with Northeast state energy, environment, and transportation agencies
  • Advanced degree or certifications in related fields

$72,000 - $92,640 a year

CALSTART values transparency and strives to provide as much information regarding compensation as possible. The complete salary range for this role is $72,000-$92,640. Pay for this role will typically be from $72,000-$78,880 as we determine pay based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, education, internal equity and other factors relevant to job.
