We are seeking talented candidates with a top-tier strategy consulting or technology strategy background for the position of Vice President in our newly created Public Cloud organization. Co-led by by two executives from both the business and technology, the organization is dedicated to accelerating Public Cloud adoption, including policy, budgets, investments and execution. This role sits within the Transformation Office, reporting into the Co-Head of the Transformation Office. Given the importance of the transformation, as part of this role you will have the unique opportunity to work closely with our most senior leaders across the entirety of JP Morgan Chase.

Description

As a Vice President in our Transformation Office, you will lead teams in solving complex problems, framing strategy decisions and unblocking implementation issues critical to accelerating the benefits of public cloud, which is a top strategic priority of the firm.

Responsibilities

Thought Leadership

"Own" day-to-day management and delivery of one of more areas of the Transformation Office, prioritizing the book of work against key milestones and managing team capacity accordingly

Problem solving of complex topics, requiring concise articulation of the context, problem statement, options, and recommendations.

Bias to action execute committed decisions to accelerate progress, anticipate challenges, and achieve quantifiable results for your area

Work with team to develop work plans to test/ evaluate strategies and insights and deliver the goals of the Transformation Office

Executive Communications

Advise and influence senior leaders and business executives on key business decisions required and major change initiatives

Develop deep, trust-based advisor relationships with key client stakeholders in management, Global Technology and the Lines of Business (LoBs) to drive delivery and achieve organizational alignment and buy-in

Lead interviews, working sessions, and senior client presentations, maintaining composure and presence in difficult client meetings and driving towards business outcomes

Team Leadership

Lead one or more workstreams, including managing associates/ analysts across several workstreams

Collaborate with your team to build frameworks, content, hypothesis sets, analyses, and roadmaps for solutions

Develop junior team members both formally and informally, including serving as a mentor

Identify potential roadblocks/ obstacles and escalate issues as needed

Qualifications

5+ years consulting experience with a top-tier strategy/ management consulting firm, an internal consulting/ corporate strategy team, or a top-tier technology strategy firm, including at least 1-3 years client-facing managerial experience motivating and leading teams

Knowledge and fluency in enterprise IT management concepts including organization, product operating model, budgeting, talent, and risk management. Technical knowledge in cloud or IT infrastructure is helpful, but not required.

Strong client management and executive-level communication skills (both oral and written), as well as strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to interact with colleagues as peers and achieve goals without direct control over resources

Proven entrepreneurial drive to identify opportunities for impact and influence others to take action

Proven ability to structure and scope complex problems and apply a range of analytical and qualitative tools to develop solutions

Significant experience with PowerPoint for executive-level documents and Excel based models for analysis and planning. Tableau or similar BI experience for analysis is preferred.

MBA or advanced degree from a top-tier program is preferred, but not mandatory

Financial services background and/ or Cloud experience is preferred, but not mandatory
