Rates Derivative Marketer
Location: Remote or hybrid
SUMMARY: Enhance the Bank's revenue stream by expanding customer relationships, generating new sales opportunities, and developing the interest rate derivative knowledge base across the Bank's commercial lending units and commercial customers. Collaborate with relationship managers to identify opportunities to assist our customers in managing their interest rate risk by structuring and executing hedging solutions leveraging interest rate derivatives. Lead the negotiation of legal agreements with our counterparties to facilitate trading relationships. This is a new function at the bank so the professional will have the opportunity to take ownership in the design and buildout of the new function by establishing strong working relationships and collaborating with multiple internal business partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.
- Develop and manage deal pipeline to grow revenues from interest rate derivatives product
- Develop, refine, and present marketing materials to facilitate sales of derivative products both internally and externally
- Collaborate across back-office, middle-office, and front-line functions to support the derivatives business
- Conduct regular training across the bank to grow and support the derivatives book
- Serve as a rates SME within Corp. Treasury and across the bank, particularly in support of other loan pricing activities
- Adheres to and complies with applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.).
- Adheres to Bank policies and procedures and completes required training.
- Identifies and reports suspicious activity.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree Finance, Management, Economics, or related field required Master's Degree Finance, Management, Economics, or related field preferred
EXPERIENCE
- 7-9 Years Derivative Marketing for a Commercial Bank required
