R&D Product Manager
OverviewThe Urology Research & Development Product Manager plays an integral role in product and clinical development and adoption by maximizing the clinical and scientific evidence base for the urology-oncology portfolio of products. This role in the R&D department works across multiple departments to apply clinical and scientific expertise to lead clinical and scientific studies and partnerships to validate products and demonstrate product effectiveness and collaborate on clinical implementation projects. The Product Manager will assist in the design and implementation of the research strategy to improve test adoption and coverage and evaluate novel products and product enhancements.
- ResponsibilityAssist in creating the evidence development strategy to drive adoption of new and existing urology-oncology products, informed by medical society guidelines, coverage landscape, scientific capabilities, and the customer landscape.
- Assist in or lead research initiatives to drive evidence development for urology-oncology products through clinical studies using internal data, innovative evidence-development initiatives with external partners, and clinical trials.
- Seek out, assess, and implement external partnership opportunities to demonstrate product validity, utility, and effectiveness in target populations.
- Collaborate with the Real-World Evidence, Clinical Operations, and Publication/Medical Communications teams on study design and execution, manuscripts, and other scientific presentations of urology-oncology product research.
- Work closely with stakeholders in R&D, Technology, and Commercial to ensure that the evidence development strategy aligns with scientific, technological, and commercial aims and capabilities of the company.
- QualificationsAdvanced clinical/scientific degree (MS, MD, or PhD) or relevant training with at
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in oncology/urology/cancer genetics; laboratory and/or industry experience required
- Experience conducting clinical research and evidence development, track-record of peer reviewed publications preferred
- Well-versed in scientific literature, guidelines, and other sources of information related to oncology/cancer genetics products
- Relationships with key opinion leaders in cancer genetics preferred
- Experience managing complex projects
- Experience working collaboratively and cross-functionally
- Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
- A sense of eagerness to contribute to a supportive, interdisciplinary, motivated team
Physical RequirementsLifting Requirements –light work or exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Physical Requirements –stationary positioning, moving, operating, ascending/descending, communicating, observing, pushing, or pulling and reaching. Use of equipment and tools necessary to perform essential job functions.
