Landmark Health, part of the Optum and UnitedHealth Group family of businesses, was created to transform how healthcare is delivered to the most medically vulnerable members in our community. Our medical group provides home-based medical care to chronically ill patients, many of whom are ill-equipped to navigate our overwhelming healthcare system.
Positions in this function is reporting to the Division President, the Regional General Manager oversees operations in a Landmark Health Region which is comprised of several markets and a larger cohort of patients, generally has multiple health plan partners, multiple states, and/or multiple lines of business broadening the level of scope and complexity than a smaller market within Landmark. The Regional GM will be working with their Clinical Operations team to ensure high quality patient care, excellence in client relations and meeting of all financial, operational, and quality metrics. The Regional GM provides leadership and direction to an Interdisciplinary Team which includes, Provider, Clinical, Operational and Clinical Support roles to execute across all Landmark value levers.
You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. High preference for candidate to live in one of these states: PA, NJ, MD, DE, VA. They can be a full time Telecommuter, but preference for those states
Primary Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Division Leadership, Senior Clinical Leadership, and Clinical Operations Leadership to define regional strategy to accomplish utilization goals, operational and quality metrics, and financial performance measures
- Coordinate with the Client Account Lead in managing health plan clients and delivering value. May delegate specific health plan relationships to Market Leadership as appropriate
- Work closely with the Regional Medical Officer and Regional Health Services Director to oversee Market Leadership Teams comprised of Market Executive Directors, Market Medical Directors, and Market Health Services Directors
- Holds Market Leadership teams accountable for operational and financial goals, while enforcing operational standardization
- Monitor all metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements and/or staff education to produce optimal outcomes
- Coach, mentor, and counsel Regional and Market Leadership teams to meet expected performance levels
- Assist Market Medical Directors and Market Health Services Directors to recruit and retain high quality clinical staff
- Work with Business Development to foster and grow new business in the region, pursue and develop innovative community partnerships to reach regional goals, and determine how to operationalize partnerships with our portfolio
- Build and maintain positive relationships with health plan business partners and clinical counterparts within the community
- Collaborate with Division Leadership on special projects/initiatives

Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of administrative/management experience in health care, preferably in the managed care setting or proven success within a current Landmark market that has grown in complexity and size and multiple states, health plans, and/or lines of business
- Proven experience with building collaborative relationships with community-based providers, health plans and health systems
- Proven ability with successful P&L Management
- Proficient in MS Office, specifically, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Willingness and ability to travel 25% or more

- Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare related field or business administration

- Superior multi-tasking and organizational skills, detail oriented

- Superior reasoning, planning, and time management skills

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, or New York City Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $134,200 to $257,700. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada/New York City residents is $134,200 to $257,700. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
