THE OPPORTUNITY

Our mission is to revolutionize the way Netflix Product Creative is made and delivered while continuing to raise the bar for Creative Excellence. The Creative Planning team is a driving force in defining our strategic planning cycles inclusive of how we prioritize and apply insights, operations, tooling, and the application of AI and machine learning.  

The Regional Planning team, within Creative Planning, plays a crucial role in accelerating Netflix growth by connecting our global product innovation teams with the PCS (Product Creative Studio) team to continue to evolve and push the boundaries on how we can best connect our members to the stories they love.

We are looking for a driven, business leader to help us guide strategic initiatives across our local and functional teams by identifying opportunities, barriers and accountability within the rollout process.

The role will report to the Manager of Regional Planning.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

The UCAN Regional Lead must embody Netflix cultural values and strike the delicate balance between firm judgment, strong collaboration and curiosity across a wide stakeholder set. 

This role is instrumental in shaping how key strategic and workflow initiatives roll out regionally, and is accountable for keeping a pulse on what’s critical to the business and how it influences our key initiatives. 

The ideal candidate is able to ingest broad context as well as multiple, detailed data points to formulate a clear roadmap of actions.  Experience in change management is important to drive advocacy and ensure the successful rollout and execution of new initiatives. While the role is UCAN based we work within a globally distributed team so strong communication skills and the ability to understand different perspectives is key. 

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Partner with the Product Creative Studio leadership team on their business goals and objectives, and sets the initiative slate and priorities accordingly
  • Manage the volume and cadence of initiatives based on regional priorities
  • Develop initiative strategy, positioning, deliverables and rollout timing in partnership with project leads
  • Leverage key insights to develop a POV on potential implications with PCS local teams and key functional stakeholders
  • Execute against rollout strategy to drive implementation of new initiatives
  • Identifies any risks, blockers or dependencies at all stages of an initiative and develops action plans against them
  • Ensure the UCAN perspective is represented in Functional team forums and working groups
  • Leverage deep local insight to identify new opportunities and challenges that need functional team support
  • Proactively stays informed of key business bets and product specific initiatives.
  • Become a core trusted advisor and strategic counselor to cross functional partners

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in Creative Industry (Brand or Agency side) 
  • 3+ years in Creative leadership position building a practice or offering
  • Experience in developing change marketing strategies and successfully executing against them
  • Extremely High EQ: Ability to read a room, hear what's not being said, and exert influence
  • Autonomous leader who can build a strategies and prioritization frameworks from top level business objectives
  • Proven ability to drive business growth balanced with creative innovation and risk taking
  • Good understanding of creative workflows for both conceptual and production work
  • Exceptional communicator with strong project management skills
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to apply tech based solutions in replacement of manual ones
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a positive and even-tempered attitude
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, globally distributed organization
  • Experience in driving complex, high-profile projects that require on the spot thinking and problem solving balanced with rolling up their sleeves to build the solutions

These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location. 

The overall market range for roles in this area of Netflix is typically $80,000-$550,000.
