Job Summary

We are recruiting a Research Analyst/Writer to join the Labs team at Workit Health. The Research Analyst/Writer will play a pivotal role in conducting substance use research initiatives, focusing on working with datasets and crafting insightful narratives. The primary responsibilities include collating and cleaning data, conducting statistical analyses, and collaborating on manuscripts for publication. The role will also support other grant and research projects as needed.

Core Responsibilities

The Research Analyst/Writer will be instrumental in driving forward our research initiatives. The role involves working closely with datasets, conducting statistical analyses, and producing well-researched content. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Utilize expertise in epidemiology, biostatistics, or related field to conduct data analyses.
  • Proficiently use Stata, reference manager software, and survey tools such as Qualtrics or RedCap.
  • Conduct descriptive and multivariable linear and logistic regression models, as well as survival analyses for internal and grant-funded research projects for cross-sectional and longitudinal studies.
  • Collaborate on writing manuscripts, ensuring high-quality and evidence-based content.
  • Conduct literature searches and synthesize information to support research initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in substance use and related fields to inform our research focus.
  • Assist the Labs team with other projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related field.
  • Detail-oriented with a proven track record in data analysis and research writing.
  • Fluent in Stata, SAS, or R (Stata preferred)
  • 2+ years experience in cleaning data, maintaining datasets, and conducting analyses utilizing multivariable linear and logistic regression models, survival survival analysis, and causal inference methods.
  • Proficient in reference manager software, and survey tools (Qualtrics or RedCap).
  • Experience submitting IRB protocols and amendments.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Program evaluation experience is a plus.
  • Experience in substance use research preferred.
