Overview

The Reservoir Engineer / Advisor II will play a key role in supporting technical teams to optimize reservoir performance and improve corporate value. This position requires experience in Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) processes, project economics, and reservoir surveillance, with a focus on delivering accurate technical analysis and project evaluations.

Responsibilities

  • Support technical teams by identifying, designing, and evaluating development projects to optimize reservoir performance and improve corporate value.
  • Conduct accurate and efficient technical analysis across various fields, utilizing reservoir engineering tools and software (DSS, Aries).
  • Monitor flood performance, including CO₂ purchase volumes, injection schedules, and pattern reviews, to optimize EOR operations such as water flooding, CO₂ flooding, WAG flooding, or gas flooding.
  • Ensure reservoir engineering consistency and best practices across asset and development teams.
  • Leverage technical expertise and industry knowledge to drive value across the organization.
  • Demonstrate strong project management skills by prioritizing tasks, managing schedules, and delivering results on time.
  • Solve technical problems collaboratively, demonstrating business acumen and critical thinking.
  • Communicate technical findings, project updates, and recommendations clearly to internal stakeholders.
  • Travel quarterly to field offices or oil and gas production facilities, adhering to safety protocols and using personal protective equipment as needed.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Petroleum industry experience required.
  • 1+ yrs functional Reservoir Engineer experience required. 
  • Experience in EOR processes such as water flooding, CO2 flooding, WAG flooding, or gas flooding desired
  • Experienced user of economics and surveillance software; DSS and Aries strongly preferred.
  • Strong business acumen and an understanding of project economics
  • Project management skills and can prioritize work and schedule accordingly
  • Demonstrated ability to recognize and solve problems working with others.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English fluently.
  • Good communication skills – articulates well and conveys clear objectives
  • Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug, hair follicle, MVR, agility and fit for duty.
  • Physical Requirements - Capable of lifting up to 35 pounds. Frequently stationary for extended periods, with occasional office movement. Regular computer use, including typing and viewing screens. Occasional travel to production facilities and district offices, including fieldwork with personal protective equipment (PPE).
