SaaS Controller

As the Controller at WhatConverts, you will analyze our current financial situation, work with our leadership team to create/administer company controls, and create plans to maintain repeatable budgeting strategies.

This is a fully-remote, full-time position (40 hours per week) that can be conducted from anywhere within 3 hours of US Eastern Time Zone.

In this role you’ll get to:

  • Collaborate with department heads to analyze, set, drive and maintain adherence to the company’s financial plans and goals
  • Design and implement sound, repeatable planning and budgeting processes
  • Review and maintain state-by-state sales tax compliance
  • Establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on biweekly, monthly, and annual basis
  • Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions
  • Maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and expenditures, for team and organizational budgets
  • Review our current global business practices and identify areas for improvement, maximizing protection of company assets, policies, procedures and workflows
  • Maximize efficiency of the global payroll process through Rippling
  • Review and enhance our current accounting processes through QuickBooks
  • Identify areas for continuous improvement with internal controls
  • Review commission and pricing packages; including customer acquisition cost, value of the customer, lifetime value and more

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of proven experience in a Controller role; or equivalent
  • Experience managing financials within SaaS is required; global experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and people management skills
  • Leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
  • Must have solid understanding of accounting in QuickBooks
  • Sound analytical skills and understanding of business development
  • CPA or CFA certifications not required, but preferred
  • Understanding of GAAP is a plus
  • Prior experience with Mergers and Acquisitions is a plus
