Who we’re looking for;
The Sales Development Representative here at Graylog will be a critical member of our team focusing on the bridge between marketing-created leads and sales opportunities globally.
Your primary responsibilities will be to engage, develop, and qualify prospects with Centralized Log Management (CLM), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and Threat Detection & Incident Response (TDIR) projects to increase sales pipeline. We primarily respond to inbound contact requests and thoughtful, personalized communications is one of the best ways to ensure Graylog maintains our strong positive brand image while maximizing sales opportunities. The goal of your work is to build early-stage relationships with software security evaluators that ultimately turns into new business.
You will be the first point of contact with our customers in the sales process. This position requires the need to be proactive, a desire to learn how to become a great sales development person, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to get others excited about using our tools to improve their business results. You will learn the ins-and-outs of both enterprise software marketing and sales processes with a chance to grow your career along either line.
The Sales Development Representative will be office based in our Liverpool Street London office a minimum of 3 days per week and report to our Manager, Sales Development in Houston, Texas.
Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to;
- Qualify and develop inbound leads that result in pipeline opportunities. (50% conversion rate).
- Build strategic business opportunities through outreach efforts (8-12 per month).
- Immerse yourself within the world of CLM (centralized log management), SIEM (security information event management), and TDIR (threat detection and incident response) and build your knowledge base to gain creditability and interest when positioning Graylog to our customers.
- Build market intelligence and foster client relationships through personalized, timely, and relevant messaging.
- Identify projects and strategic initiatives for assigned accounts, qualify why the initiative/project is a priority now, and share how Graylog can meet the business and technical needs.
- Analyze top 10 accounts to identify key contacts & coordinate with other Account Executives to foster a strategic action plan.
- Partner with other sales teams, marketing, and enablement to coordinate campaigns and align on new objectives on promptly.
- Combine and orchestrate data from HubSpot, TechTarget, ISMG and other related sales enablement technologies to; identify priorities and promote effective outreach.
Little bit about you;
- Prepared and willing to be office-based a minimum of 3 days per week in our Liverpool Street London office.
- Fluent in written & spoken English. Bi-lingual German would be advantageous.
- 12+ months of demonstrated ability to sell or build pipelines for software solutions. (we will consider applicants who may have no experience that can demonstrated and have the right level of social and intellectual resilience).
- Desire to move the needle! You’ll be motivated by exceeding goals and earning commissions; setting stretch targets and delivering exceptional results.
- Understanding and appreciation for continuous improvement. You will have a mindset of looking for ways to make things more efficient, look for opportunities to improve, implement the changes, and measure your results.
