JOB SUMMARY:

Join Lenovo Software and play a key role in growing the software business within the world’s #1 PC and device manufacturer. We are looking for a dynamic individual who will engage with the sales teams to provide pre-sales technical support, Proof-of-Concept implementations, product demonstrations, sales training and solution architecture.

As a Sales Engineer your primary responsibility will be architecting and implementing Lenovo Software solutions for customers and partners. We are looking for an individual who has 2-5 years of experience in systems administration, networking, and various web technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance as well as product training to sales teams on Lenovo’s software product offerings
  • Architect and implement Lenovo Software solutions
  • Implement Proofs-of-Concept at customer and partner locations
  • Engage directly with customers and prospects to understand requirements and existing architecture; develop implementation plans to support those findings
  • Work closely with partners and customers to provide excellent customer service
  • Troubleshoot faulty systems and software and develop plans to resolve issues
  • Train, certify, and support partner technical engineers on Lenovo Software solutions

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • 2-5 years of proven, customer-facing experience in sales, technical support, or customer success
  • Experience presenting and demonstrating software solutions to all levels of customers
  • Technical skills with an understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, Firewalls, software deployment, and web technologies
  • BA/BS or commensurate experience

Preferred:

  • 2-3 years security solutions sales experience preferred
  • Excellent technical troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills (English)
  • Self-directed with enthusiasm for problem solving and a sense of urgency
  • A passion for helping teachers use technology to create better learning environments
  • Ability to learn new technologies and incorporate them into customer solutions
  • This position is remote, but may require up to 20% travel

The base salary range for this position in California Colorado, New York City, Nevada and Washington, is $110,000 - $130,000. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission. Lenovo’s various benefits can be found on www.lenovobenefits.com .
