Job Summary: We are seeking an energetic and passionate Sales Operations Manager to join our growing team at Photon Marine. In this role, you will be responsible for enabling sales growth through support functions through account management operations, and helping to expand our market presence through social and brand management ownership. You will be tasked with organizing and creating efficiency across our sales tools and platforms. We love initiative, creative thinking, and solution-based mindsets. If something isn’t working, we pivot and try something else. As a key player in our startup, you will have the opportunity to shape our sales strategy, work with cutting-edge technology, and contribute to our mission of protecting our beautiful oceans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute Go-to-Market Strategy: Support the development and execution of go-to-market strategies, ensuring alignment with Photon Marine's overall business objectives.
  • Sales Content Creation: Develop and refine sales collateral, swag, including brochures, presentations, and other marketing materials to effectively communicate the value of our products and services.
  • Pitch Deck Development: Collaborate with the sales, engineering, and technical teams to create compelling pitch decks and presentations tailored to different customer segments and opportunities.
  • Sales Team Operations: Assist the sales team with methods for lead qualification, prospect research, and preparation of sales materials to support their efforts in closing deals. Attend sales meetings, and drive the meeting’s flow / agenda. Onboard all new sellers to the sales methodology, goals, operations, and tools.
  • Customer Relationship Management Tools: Organize and maintain the CRM system by building out workflows, updating customer information, tracking interactions, and ensuring data accuracy for effective customer relationship management.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Prepare regular reports on sales activities, customer engagement, and market insights, providing actionable recommendations to the sales and leadership teams.
  • Internal Communication: Serve as a liaison between the sales, marketing, and product teams, ensuring smooth communication and alignment on goals and strategies.
  • Customer Feedback: Gather and document customer feedback, relaying insights to the product development team to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Contractual Document Templates Management: Develop a system for organizing our documentation, and support us in building out our core set of contractual documents. Own the process for revisioning and updating.
  • Event Management: Build and maintain the Photon event list and calendar, support logistical planning for events, assist with onsite event management, and handle post-event follow-up, including coordination with event staff and executive team support. Collaborate with Marketing to coordinate related outreach program development.
  • Collaborate in Market Research: With Marketing, monitor and research partner, competitor, and market activities, share insights with the team regularly, and stay updated on trends to help shape and maintain a competitive market strategy.
  • Oversee Social Media Management: With Marketing, oversee and support the generation of content, posting, outreach, and comment response activities to advance us to be known in our markets.
  • Oversee Cadenced Marketing Calendar: With Marketing, develop and implement a strategic content distribution plan, schedule and coordinate cross-channel activities, time campaigns for optimal impact, align with stakeholders, and regularly review and adjust the cadence calendar for improved performance.
  • Oversee Referral Program Management: With Marketing, develop and manage referral programs by creating strategies and campaigns, monitoring performance, supporting referrers, and optimizing based on data and feedback.
  • Oversee / Delegate Market Research: With Marketing, monitor and research partner, competitor, and market activities, share insights with the team regularly, and stay updated on trends to help shape and maintain a competitive market strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or a related field; or equivalent experience in project management and operations.
  • Understanding of marine environments and ability to learn about maritime products quickly.
  • Proven experience in managing projects with high attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines agreed upon.
  • Proficiency in using HubSpot CRM or similar CRM tools.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate documentation.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Willingness to learn and to be taught as we get you set up for success. Openness to feedback.
  • Comfort with making phone calls and coordinating with various vendors as needed.
