Sunroom Rentals is a property-tech startup, headquartered in central Austin. At Sunroom, we are responsible for leasing thousands of homes and apartments. We've created a platform that enables renters to self-tour properties and apply inside our app.
We believe that renting a home should be as easy as booking a hotel. We're on a mission to reinvent leasing and to empower renters. Sunroom Rentals was started by the founders of Favor Delivery Ben & Zac. Their last company, Favor had 50,000 delivery drivers at the time it was sold to HEB Grocery. You'll be joining a super-talented, motivated, fun team, looking to change the game for renters!
We have raised over $11 million from top-tier investors including NextGen, Gigafund, Draper Associates & Founders Fund. Our investors have also backed the likes of SpaceX, Tesla, and Facebook.
Our Support Specialist serves a variety of critical functions for Sunroom partners and clients, primarily leasing out our listings by working with interested renters to drive them to tour and then apply to our homes. This is a full-time role that will start with a 3-month trial, and upon successful completion of the trial, will see a pay increase and become a month-to-month role. The position requires delivering stellar customer support and sales-adjacent activities and will work remotely from Mexico (or a location within 2 hours of US Central Time Zone) on an ongoing basis.
What you'll be doing:
- Inside Sales: You'll assist our Partners and Account Management team by proactively reaching out to leads, and getting our properties leased to qualified renters, as quickly as possible. You’ll help our renters arrange property tours, apply for homes, and submit applications, and you’ll be an expert at answering questions about the homes and the Sunroom process. You'll communicate with interested renters by text, email, phone, and social media platforms.
- Phone Support: You’ll answer incoming calls from renters and outside agents, to answer questions about listings and the tour & application processes. You’ll also make outgoing calls to follow up with interested renters and agents.
- Additional Client or Other Support: As time allows, you may also assist with other activities to support our clients and growing team.

- Salary: This role starts at $700 USD/month. Job requirements
- Full-Time: We're looking for candidates who will be willing to work full-time, 5 days a week, 50 hours in total, with some weekend availability (your exact schedule will be determined upon hire, and will generally fall within the hours of 8am - 9pm CT each day of the week).
- Bilingual: You are bilingual, fluent in both Spanish and English.
- Proactive & Driven: You are driven to push for completion of the rental process, and you are not afraid to reach out by phone, text and email to potential renters. You proactively update team members on your work.
- Adept Communicator: You are at ease communicating with renters and owners, whether via phone, email or text. You’re very comfortable making outbound calls to follow up with interested renters (leads).
- Tech-Savvy: You are comfortable using and learning new technology. We have developed world-class proprietary software with many automated processes to help you do your work efficiently! You are used to having multiple applications and windows open while you work.
- Highly Organized: You are highly organized, and able to track multiple moving pieces in a high-volume environment.
- Follow-Through: You have a strong practice of follow-through and take the actions that you say you will.
- Engaging and Empathetic: You are friendly, can easily interact with and engage potential renters. You understand the rewards as well as the challenges of the rental process from the renter’s perspective. You are also sensitive to the priorities of our owner partners, and provide them with thoroughly-vetted, high-quality rental candidates.
