Security Engineer
As a Security Engineer at FAIRTIQ you contribute to building, continuously improving and maturing an Information and Application Security programme. Your responsibilities include designing, implementing and running activities such as vulnerability management, endpoint security management, maintenance of a security documentation framework, or security education.
You will work on a broad range of security initiatives, allowing you to experience the entire spectrum of information and application security. You will also contribute to a company-wide security culture that is nourished by fun, curiosity, pragmatism, simplicity, transparency, and the will to support.
A typical work day starts with a security team meeting to discuss our plans and blockers for the day. The majority of the day would be spent working (independently) on implementing a vulnerability management solution that you designed and challenged with your team. Some days may involve responding to security-related questions from your FAIRTIQ colleagues working in any team in the company, other days may involve reviewing system/feature designs by performing threat modelling and communicating your assessment constructively back to your FAIRTIQ colleagues. This is how you help your tech team colleagues to build secure solutions from the outset.
Role responsibilities:
- Be responsible for operational security activities
- Continuously improve FAIRTIQ’s security documentation framework
- Contribute to security incident response
- Advocate security awareness and lead by example
