Senior Accountant
ThinkOn is expanding its Finance team! Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Sr. Accountant is responsible for the general administrative/accounting functions including preparing journal entries and maintaining balance sheet schedules and ledgers and account and bank reconciliations. The Sr. Accountant will also assist with monthly closings and account analysis and will support the Director of Finance in carrying out the responsibilities of the finance department. Furthermore, this position will assist in the overall office management and logistics.

You Will:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Month-end and Year-end Close: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and financial statement preparation.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the leadership team to assist in budget creation and forecasting activities.
- Financial Analysis: Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures
- Assist with ensuring accurate and timely processing of bi-monthly payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates
- Application and management of Accounts Receive and Accounts Payable functions, including reviewing monthly sales invoices, reviewing, and processing expense reports, and reviewing and processing vendor invoices and payments
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation is a plus.
- 5+ years of Accounting Experience; experience working with a tech company is preferred
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Experience with Intacct software is an asset
- Experience with processing payroll
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and autonomously, with the ability to work in a team when required
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
- Problem analysis and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy
