Why it matters: You will be responsible for helping grow Axios’ readership by managing Axios’ acquisition marketing campaigns. Your role will include executing campaigns across different partners and vendors, reporting on data and analyzing results to inform future strategies. This is a key role which will leverage digital platforms to ensure Axios is a household name within its target audience.
Go deeper: As part of the Marketing and Growth team at Axios, you’ll be supporting the marketing program for our newsletter subscription business. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and activating marketing and optimization programs to drive subscriptions for our national and local newsletters.
- Leveraging both paid and organic channels as part of the marketing tactics, such as house ads, email marketing, social media, display advertising, paid search and content marketing.
- Managing A/B tests to improve conversions and engagements from advertising tactics and the registration flow.
- Developing messages, reviewing copy and working with the Design team on creative assets for various marketing channels, including landing pages, marketing emails, social posts and ads.
- Working closely with other Marketing and Growth team members on cross-promotions and sharing lessons learned across the various products.
- Reporting campaign progress, presenting data-driven insights and recommending next steps to increase the effectiveness of the marketing campaigns.
The details: Ideal candidates will embody an entrepreneurial spirit, a passion for Axios’ mission and have the following skills:
- 2+ years of relevant experience, with at least a portion of that experience being in digital acquisition marketing
- Experience managing and reporting on paid media campaigns, such as Meta, X and Google
- Experience with an analytics tool, such as Google Analytics, and ability to utilize the data to guide decisions on marketing campaigns
- A creative thinker with strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Positive attitude and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments including Product/Tech, Analytics, Events, Audience Development, Design, and others.

Starting salary for this role is in the range of $58,000 -$84,000 and is dependent on numerous factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, and skills. This range does not include other compensation benefits.
