The role you’ll play

As a Backend Engineer within the company, you will be a key contributor to the development and enhancement of our backend infrastructure. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and efficient microservices to support the seamless functioning of our tools. You will collaborate closely with the front-end development team, ensuring a cohesive and integrated solution.

  • Designing, developing and maintaining scalable and high-performance microservices in .NET.
  • Contributing to the architecture, design and implementation of new features and improvements.
  • Implementing best practices for code quality, testing and deployment automation.
  • Ensuring high-quality software through active participation in code reviews.
  • Actively engaging in sprint retrospectives, refinements, daily stand-ups, and other team processes.
  • Taking full ownership of the products and solutions you develop, eliminating bugs early in the process through TDD/BDD and other tests.
  • Sharing knowledge and support fellow developers, QA professionals, and support teams.
  • Supporting team leaders with your expert knowledge and assist in customer meetings.
  • Collaborating with our Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) on CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless operations.

What you’ll need to bring

  • Motivational and engaging with a "Can do" attitude, fostering a positive team environment. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. 
  • Strong experience in high-performance software development. 
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices. 
  • Solid expertise in C#, .NET, Microservices in SaaS setup, and OpenAPI, with preferably 5+ years of professional development in .NET. 
  • Proficient in database technologies (RDBMS, NoSQL) and optimal usage. 
  • Familiarity with Entity Framework. 
  • Experience in writing unit and integration tests, with TDD/BDD as a plus. 
  • Knowledgeable about design patterns, clean code, and best software development practices. 
  • Experience with consuming and creating REST APIs. 
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS. 
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes. 

This will make you stand out

  • Experience with terraform, yaml, and helm is a plus. 
  • Familiarity with Azure pipelines is a plus.
