The Moments team at Reddit helps us achieve our mission by building great experiences for discussing and participating in cultural moments that matter to our users. And we go beyond by creating our own cultural moments on the platform, like r/place, that can spark community collaboration and awareness of Reddit. Responsibilities:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll play a leading role building and scaling the exciting features and services needed to create joyful, engaging, and international experiences, which will fuel the next wave of Reddit’s growth. Qualifications:
- 5+ years backend development experience with multiple parts of the backend stack, from databases to networking to computing infrastructure.
- Ability to design and implement complex distributed systems operating under high load.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams in a fully remote environment.
- Experience developing consumer-facing public applications is preferred.

In addition to base salary, this job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including, skills, depth of work experience and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below.
The base pay range for this position is:
$183,500—$275,300 USD
