JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Billing Analyst works within the Finance & Accounting team and reports to the Client Finance Manager. This individual must be an energetic self-starter, with the ability to interface with many members of the organization and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role will have high concentration in client finance, assisting client teams reconcile projects, report on hours variances, and ensure timely billing. To succeed in this role, you must be able to have excellent time management skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accuracy of your work..

This role can be remote or a part of our Chicago or Detroit office.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review projects to ensure they are set up correctly: project classifications, budgets, resource planning
  • Work directly with Data & Analytics team to handle client billing for their division
  • Manage job closure process – checking all financial balances and ensuring projects are closed in a timely manner
  • Assist Client Services and Media group as needed on client related matters and reporting
  • Initiates new client setup and existing client change requests
  • Perform client billing in accordance with SOWs
  • Provide client billing reconciliation and backup in accordance with SOWs
  • Help with collections and produce weekly AR reports for management team
  • Follow up on collections with clients and client teams
  • Be a change agent, innovate, improve processes, and create efficiencies
  • Perform time and expense transfers
  • Preparing ad-hoc analyses and reporting as requested

REQUIREMENTS

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 2-4 years of experience in an accounting, finance, consulting, or a related role.
  • Agency experience preferred but not required
  • MS Excel skills (Pivot tables, Vlookups)
  • Ability to explore the system, interface with support, and acquire new skills
  • NetSuite knowledge/exposure a plus
  • Innovative and experience in process improvement
  • Professional, organized, time management skills, and can safeguard confidential information
  • Willing and able to adapt to a high energy, fast paced environment
  • Billing and AR management experience
  • High level of analytical and quantitative skills
  • Approachable and solution oriented

The hiring range for this discipline within our industry is $70,000.00 to $85,000.00. Where an employee is paid within this range will depend on multiple factors including, but not limited to location, years of experience, education, internal pay structure, and other contributing factors.
