YOUR MISSION
MURAL is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Billing Manager to join the Finance team. The role reports to the VP, Corporate Controller and will be a critical leader of the Finance team. As a Senior Billing Manager; you will be responsible for executing timely and accurate billing and collections, and identifying and implementing best-in-class billing and collections processes and controls for the accounts receivable function to continue to scale. The Senior Manager will partner cross-functionally with Department leaders (Sales, Deal Desk, Accounting, FP&A) across MURAL to manage stakeholder relationships and achieve operational excellence.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Continuously drive an improved order to cash cycle while maintaining excellent service to internal and external stakeholders for both enterprise sales and online sales.
- Partnering with the Accounting and FP&A teams to perform weekly and monthly cash flows.
- Lead a team of billing and accounts receivables professionals in Argentina, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, & mentoring.
- Set payment collection goals for the department.
- Improve/enhance client billing processes (300-500 invoices per month), including managing work-in-process DSO and invoice rejections.
- Create and implement strategies to continuously improve the collection of outstanding invoices through automation while strengthening controls.
- Communicate with key internal stakeholders like Sales and Deal desk teams to assist with pending, upcoming, and disputed deals and appropriate accounts receivable efforts.
- Prepare reports on payment collections for the Finance leadership team.
- Resolve escalated disputes or complaints from our clients.
- Assist with other duties and special projects as needed.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Minimum of 8 years accounts receivable experience with at least 4 years in a managerial capacity in a software as a service (SaaS) or technology environments in multinationals and start up environments with exposure to US/EMEA/APAC customers. Billing experience with SaaS or technology environments (high volumes) is a prerequisite.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business or financial discipline is preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work culture in fast paced technology companies. Track record of leading and coaching teams in fast paced environments.
- Pleasant telephone disposition and effective communication skills with the ability to build and maintain good relationships with clients
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented, self-directed, and able to effectively complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Proficient with Excel and Google sheets
- Must have experience with a large ERP/CRM system. Netsuite, Salesforce CRM and stripe is preferred but not mandatory
- Flexible to meet changing priorities and the ability to prioritize workload to achieve on-time accurate results
