About the Role

We are seeking a brand-minded design generalist with 5+ years of experience and a passion for video and motion design to join our growing Brand & Communications team. This person will support the marketing and design teams to tell compelling stories through traditional marketing channels as well as video and motion, with the goal of expanding our brand reach to attract new customers while delighting existing partners. 

As a new Aurora Design team member, you will craft and build the foundation for branded motion design practice, including graphics packages and animated assets that scale. You will create unique product ads and sizzle reels to support our marketing campaigns across various channels including website, social media, and events. You will also provide assets to elevate brand moments and interactions to promote our product. This role will work alongside our product marketing team to launch product campaigns that set the standard of the solar industry. This role is for an expert creative who understands how motion can unify the branded product experience across the entire brand experience, while always being customer focused— from their first impression to their 100th interaction.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as one of our core visual designers on our Brand & Communication team working to build and evolve the brand language
  • Build and lead the motion graphics and video brand language for the Aurora
  • Collaborate with the product marketing team to develop effective promotional campaigns
  • Create graphic assets packages to unify visual design across various media channels including youtube, website, webinars, and live events 
  • Collaborate and support the larger design team on motion design needs
  • Support product design efforts, including defining and implementing motion design language for Aurora products (ex: design micro-interactions within the product) 

What We Value

  • Excellent eye for visual design and typography, with extensive design knowledge and a versatile design sensibility
  • 5+ years experience in this or similar role with a body of work to provide context to their journey
  • Detailed understanding of animation and storytelling methodologies and frameworks
  • Experience crafting motion graphics, video editing, and interaction design, for brands and creating traditional marketing materials
  • Stellar portfolio of design work and motion graphics projects including evidence designing and building motion graphic assets packages
  • Experience collaborating with an interactive/digital agency and marketing departments
  • Expertise in using Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite including Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premier and other professional motion-based software
  • Bonus if skilled with 3D software such as Cinema 4D, Blender, Maya and experience with incorporating 3D into your work
