Job Description
Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the role
This isn’t your just your average BA role….reporting into the End to End Change Manager you be will apart of Contact’s Retail business era of growth; we’re dialling up our focus on innovation, experiences and brand while developing market leading capabilities in data and operational performance to achieve our aspiration of delivering “Simple, Personalised Experiences – powered by Energy”.
To achieve this ambitious growth, we’re fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration and we’ve invested in setting up an Agile Value Stream operating model for all the teams that contribute to selling products and services to Contact’s customers.
The purpose of this hands-on role is to act as the link between initiative owners, business stakeholders and the delivery teams, as well as providing support and mentoring to other members of the analyst community, ensuring the initiative owner’s vision is translated into a meaningful set of requirements ready for delivery and priority initiatives are supported through to completion and operation.
Some of the ways you’ll achieve this:
- Evaluate, analyse and document requirements and translate these into proper business and system requirement specifications and service journeys
- Facilitate brainstorming and design thinking sessions for requirement elicitation with stakeholders
- Participate in QA activities, reviews, audits, metrics data generation, collection, interpretation and submission
- Design and support the delivery of change management interventions to ensure successful implementation of business change and realisation of business benefits
- Understand Retail’s business processes
- Be at ease when facilitating and presenting at a senior level
- Inspire others through behaviours and the way you leverage best practice and thought leadership in day-to-day work
- You are not only focused on the technical aspects of projects, but you care deeply about our people and customer experiences
Qualifications
Ko wai koe | About you
Due to being a key contributor to Contact’s achieving our ambitious growth, this won’t be your first rodeo! You’ll bring along:
- At least 5 years’ experience creating, socialising and gaining ratification for functional, non-functional and operational requirements in the retail, self-service and enterprise integration domains
- A deep knowledge of project delivery lifecycles, with experience in a range of methodologies including Agile
- Strong understanding of software development practices and solid experience working within a technology ecosystem
- Strong understanding of change management practices and their application
- Strong understanding of integration patterns and data analysis best practices
How people will describe you:
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent business acumen, ideally within retail or utilities domains
- Ability to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Ability to clearly convey information to colleagues and other business units, particularly solution designers and development teams
- Strong understanding of business analysis techniques and tools, including process mapping, documenting requirements, and data analysis.
