Senior Community Engineer

We are looking for a passionate Senior Community Engineer to educate Pulumi’s rapidly growing community on infrastructure as code best practices and how best to maximize use of the Pulumi platform to achieve success in building modern cloud infrastructure. You will be a part of realizing a vision where every engineer can program the cloud.

In this role, you will communicate Pulumi's unique and innovative worldview and approach to the world of engineers and engage with users to solve complex problems and create scale by sharing these solutions with software engineers globally.

In addition to engaging deeply with the community, you will also work closely with Pulumi’s product and engineering teams to ensure that the needs of the community are always served by the Pulumi platform.

While Pulumi is headquartered in Seattle, WA., we are dedicated to being a remote first company. This role can be located remotely in the United States or EMEA area. 

In This Role You Will:

  • Write blog posts or whitepapers that offer architectural guidance, analyze varying technological viewpoints, and illustrate patterns and concepts around infrastructure as code.
  • Speak and perform demos at leading technical conferences
  • Build thought leadership for Pulumi around infrastructure as code and platform engineering.
  • Create demos to be used in talks, blogs, social media, and community opportunities. 
  • Foster Pulumi community virtually and at regional meetups.

This role spans our entire open source platform, across many clouds (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Kubernetes), supporting any number of industry standard languages (JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Go, etc,), and scenarios (containers, serverless, and infrastructure). We can safely guarantee that you will always be learning something new!

We’re Looking For Someone With:

  • 3+ years in a software development environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrable experience of giving presentations and demos to educate developers.
  • Ability to author assets such as blog articles, tutorials, and workshops.
  • Experience in one or more of the following technologies a plus:
  • Languages: Go, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or C#.
  • Cloud Platforms: Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform.

Compensation:

  • Base Salary Hiring Range: $152,00 - $198,000
  • All full time employee offers at Pulumi include base salary, bonus or variable, equity and benefits (details below).
