Our Opportunity:
Chewy is looking for a Sr. Copywriter to join our Studio Team in Boston, MA or Plantation, FL. You will be responsible for brainstorming, creating, and transforming ideas into words for our content across all our media platforms, from direct response in onsite banners and email to social posts to content ideas. Are you a writer with a knack for bringing clarity, inspiration and curiosity to audiences? In this role, you’ll work across a variety of deliverables, working on different projects within a given week. Through it all, you’ll lean on a highly talented team of collaborative writers, designers, creative & project managers, and marketing partners. You will be an integral part of our brand voice and how we show up in the world.
What You'll Do:
- Create on-brand copy for all channels including ecommerce, digital, social, product, packaging, product descriptions, naming and others, flexing across project types as needed
- Work closely with the Copy Team as well as Art Directors, Designers, Marketing Managers, Channel Leaders and product teams to develop umbrella messaging and copy for final deliverables across campaigns, print ads, mailers, landing pages, emails, digital banners, product pages, etc.
- Brainstorm with creative teams and provide creative thought partnership with design teams to support, hone and elevate creative concepts
- Present creative concepts and copy to leadership and business teams, and be able to speak to how your work executes on marketing objectives
- Work with a strong collaborative approach that welcomes feedback and successfully implements into your copy throughout the process
- Demonstrate organized thinking with an innate ability to manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to hit the ground running without requiring a lot to start but asking the right questions along the way to hone your copy
- Be integral in maintaining brand copy guidelines that ladder up to the Chewy brand
What You'll Need:
- 5+ years relevant work experience with an advertising agency or in-house team
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, utilize resources, identify and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills; a team player, positive and innovative thinker
- Highly motivated and a high level of initiative; ability to work independently, in support of Marketing’s creative goals and Chewy’s business objectives
- Must exhibit a highly collaborative way of working within a creative environment and cross functional team
