Position Summary...

What you'll do...

The Senior Copywriter conceptualizes and writes compelling copy while maintaining and evolving the tone and voice of Walmart Marketplace. As a part of the Seller Marketing & Communications team, you'll play an important role in helping us attract new partners to sell on our marketplace and engage our curated community of sellers through engaging benefit- and feature- driven messaging.

You will collaborate with members of leadership, product managers, graphic designers, business owners and other cross-functional stakeholders to translate business objectives into actionable marketing messages, write copy for strategic program components and align product enhancements with Walmart's marketing goals.

You'll work with a growing team of strategists, copywriters, and designers to conceptualize and write exciting content for a variety of initiatives that persuade and inform. Projects vary and include collateral for product launches, acquisition campaigns, landing pages, training material, ad hoc communications, lifecycle flows, blog posts, case studies, presentation decks, etc. You will also help mentor copywriters to create engaging and persuasive content for various campaigns.

  • You're a versatile writer with inquisitive mind to research and understand the subject, comfortable to produce copy for various channels - both short-form and long-form
  • You have a strong understanding of marketing principals, familiar with SEO and have excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • You're a highly detailed and collaborative creative thinker who is passionate about communication, branding, and writing
  • You thrive in constantly evolving, fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • You are able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional team members
  • You are skilled at managing multiple projects and can change gears quickly

You'll make an impact by:

  • Internalizing the brand voice and communicating effectively to different audiences
  • Collaborating with internal and external partners to turn concepts into clear, engaging content
  • Taking pride in your work and ensuring a high level of quality in everything you do
  • Leading a team of copywriters to create consistently on-brand engaging copy for a variety of touchpoints.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience writing for ecommerce, B2B, or other marketplaces
  • Exceptional grammar, copy-writing and copy-editing skills
  • Comfortable creating content across a variety of mediums
  • Experience working collaboratively with project stakeholders and designers
  • Experience mentoring, leading and coaching
  • Familiarity with popular CRM platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce Marketing Cloud

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in a creative copywriting role at an agency or in-house brand.
  • Bachelor's degree in an associated field or equivalent experience
  • A portfolio of writing projects

The annual salary range for this position is $78,750.00-$131,250.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

  • Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)
  • Stock equity incentives
