Summary

As a Senior Data Engineer at Measured, you are developing the company's next generation data pipeline and real time processing. You’ll help design and implement a data solution that will help Measured capabilities grow. You’ll work with the backend team and front end team to solve large data engineering challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Build efficient and scalable data pipelines that move data from source systems to target systems.
  • Build and maintain data warehouses and data fabrics that store and manage large volumes of data.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, and other stakeholders to ensure data quality and accuracy.
  • Optimize data pipelines for performance and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot data issues and provide solutions.

Qualifications

  • 8+ yrs production software experience.
  • Minimum BA/BS or equivalent in CS, MIS, Engineering or closely related field.
  • Experience with Cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
  • Strong knowledge of popular database and data warehouse technologies & concepts from Google, Amazon such as BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake etc.
  • Expertise in data mesh and Lakehouse methodologies.
  • Experience in data modeling, data design and persistence on large complex datasets.
  • Experience with object-oriented design and development (preferably Kotlin/Java).
  • Background in Spark, or other Big Data related technologies, non-relational databases is a plus.
  • Desire to apply agile development principles in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communications.
