General Summary:
The Senior Database Administrator is responsible to design, deploy, manage, and mature the database architecture for the ConnectWise products. Key functions include understand business strategy and architecture, set data architecture principles, create data models to describe key data assets and their business value, develop roadmap for data and data technologies to enable implementation of intended business architecture and apply architecture principles and standards to broadly influence choice, timing, pace and maturation of various products and platforms.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and expertise in the development of database standards, data governance, database management, design patterns and best practices.
- Possesses excellent knowledge & skills in analysis, modeling, profiling, database management of structured and unstructured data.
- Mentors, coaches, and educates team members in standard processes, policies and procedures related to database architecture.
- Develops, implements, administers, and maintains policies and procedures for security and integrity of the database environments.
- Resolves database performance and capacity issues.
- Responsible for disaster recovery and high availability for hosted environments.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of tasks.
- Works with several different Business Units, products, and technologies.
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

- Windows (including clustering)
- PowerShell
- PostgreSQL
- Ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously
- Problem-solving abilities and ability to meet reasonable deadlines
- Strong team player, ability to build positive and collaborative relationships within the ConnectWise organization
- Willingness to develop professionally
- Ability to work under general supervision
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:
- Bachelor’s degree may be required
- 8 or more years of experience in the field or in a related area
Working Conditions:
- If located within 40 miles of Tampa, FL or Pittsburgh, PA- Hybrid (2-3x in office/week).
- Located Elsewhere: Remote
- Some travel required.
