Job Description

  • Install, configure, upgrade, administrate, monitor, and maintain production and non-production databases. 
  • Ensure the databases are available, reliable, accurate, and meet all performance requirements.
  • Manage the availability of databases to agreed operating levels.  Identify areas of performance improvement, analyze risks vs benefits, coming up with reasoned solutions. 
  • Install and maintain database software. 
  • Address issues promptly. 
  • Provide database support for issues and needs within the team. 
  • Get involved in database and repository design. 
  • Collaborate with developers to analyze different situations, perform trouble shooting when needed, and work together in finding possible solutions. 
  • Maintain a good collaboration with third-party teams. 
  • Take ownership of activities assigned to the role. 

Qualifications

  • We need a mix of SQL Server DB admin and DB developer. 
  • Extensive experience with SQL queries, redesign of stored procedures, functions, and database maintenance jobs (index rebuild/reorg/create/drop).
  • Valuable experience with SQL Agent Jobs changes/redesign. 
  • Experience with table partitioning.
  • Knowledge or experience working with database backup and performance tools (SQLSafe, SentryOne, SQLServer Profiler).
  • Able to understand and maintain ETL flows in SSIS. 
  • Knowledge on C#, GitHub, TeamCity is a plus. 
  • Flexible and adaptable to change focus based on priorities.
