Senior Developer - Enterprise Application Integration

The Enterprise Systems team manages the development, use, and support of Enterprise Applications. We are looking for a Senior Systems Developer with great technical skills and an enthusiasm for teamwork and collaboration. You will engage with our teams to build various integrations between internal systems. “Anything that needs to be done more than once should be automated.” Experience should include publishing and consuming SOAP or REST APIs, automation and scripting experience (e.g. JavaScript / Python / Groovy). Experience with Java / C# or another 3GL is a plus, as is familiarity with service oriented architectures (SOA) and data modeling skills.

This role reports to the Manager of Enterprise Systems Development who is based in the United States, and is fully remote eligible.

You Will:

  • Design enterprise integrations and applications across a variety of internal departments (Financial, People & Culture, Sales, Legal, BI) that can scale and perform with reliability
  • Identify points of failure, build-in monitoring hooks to promote management of solutions and participate in production support weekly rotation
  • Participate in the entire software development life cycle, from concept to release
  • Implement new features and improve the ones we have already built
  • Build and maintain integrations across a diverse array of enterprise systems: Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, and several others
  • Participate in all phases of quality assurance and defect resolution 
  • Support RPA solutions for enterprise systems - building , maintaining and supporting in scope automations within UiPath
  • Participate in code reviews, providing feedback to other team members
  • Coach and mentor more junior members of the development team
  • Work autonomously leading development aspects within company-wide, complex initiatives, planning and executing work breakdown plans and providing regular feedback to the project team
  • Lead and build upon team internal CI/CD practices
  • Iterate and build on data models and system diagrams
  • Champion internal processes for the development team
  • Develop internal team standards and SOPs
  • Support cross-team shared infrastructure, working with infrastructure teams to maintain and ensure compliance

You Have:

  • 7+ years software development or automation experience (Java / C# / JavaScript / Python or similar) 
  • BS in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience in development via iPaaS (Boomi, Mulesoft, Workato, etc.)
  • Experience leveraging AWS Lambda or other similar event-driven cloud computing platform
  • Advanced experience with database design, modeling, and query optimization 
  • Experience building advanced, scalable, high availability applications and ETL processes
  • Experience delivering advanced solutions for a variety of business areas (Financial, People & Culture, Sales, BI, etc.)
  • Worked in an environment with frequent production releases 
  • Experience providing automation solutions to supplant manual processing 
  • Ability to develop and support API’s (REST, SOAP, WSDL)
  • Experience working with and supporting Enterprise Systems such as NetSuite, Salesforce, Workday, Greenhouse, Docebo
  • Ability to take a proactive lead on non-technical communication with involved stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently with little technical supervision while also open to assisting and giving feedback to level one and two developers
  • Experience coaching and mentoring other developers and helping guide supporting work needed for complex, multiple-developer initiatives

Smartsheet provides a competitive range of compensation for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional, educational experience, skills, and specific candidate location. In addition, this role will be eligible for a market competitive bonus and RSU stock grant upon accepted offer. California & New York: $145,800 to $210,600 | All other US States: $135,000 to $195,000
