Our vision is to create a safer, simpler digital future for everyone, and our culture values simplicity, honesty and a human-centric approach to solving problems. As a Senior Developer, you will provide technical expertise and leadership in building and expanding the 1Password product. You will work closely with peers and cross-functional teams to deliver quickly, iterate frequently and always ship customer value. You will be responsible for expanding the business and consumer integrations ecosystem with new and existing partners. 1Password offers developers the unique opportunity to work on challenging problems with the highest standards of security and privacy.

An ever-increasing number of individuals, families, and businesses are using 1Password every day, and 1Password needs to scale accordingly. Come help us make it easier than ever for those people to get started!

What we're looking for:

  • Experience building and owning business-critical software at scale.
  • An enthusiastic attitude to learn while tackling new features and make existing ones better.
  • A healthy balance of being able to work collaboratively while also taking responsibility for assigned tasks.
  • Experience with directing the complete development lifecycle of a project from initial planning, through development, and into customer support.
  • Experience being a technical partner in planning, executing and shipping features in collaboration with cross functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with shipping quality software quickly, focusing on customer value and iteration.
  • We’re looking for a developer with a solid technical foundation who can easily jump around various repos and languages.

What you can expect:

  • Partner with internal cross-functional teams to help prioritize work that balances product requirements, customer value and technical needs.
  • Lead feature design and development.
  • Document solutions and new designs.
  • Write code with focus on reliability, quality and durability.
  • Help others level up their skills through mentoring and coaching.
  • Remain curious and seek opportunities to expand and deepen your technical knowledge and leadership skills.

Bonus points for:

  • Production experience with Go.
  • Production experience with Typescript.
  • Production experience with a UI Framework: React, Svelte, etc.
  • Experience building scalable and sustainable integrations with 3rd party services.
  • Experience interacting with 3rd party technical teams.
  • Some experience with Rust and Web Assembly.

The most important thing you can bring to this job is the drive to dive in, get the work done, and fix root causes instead of treating symptoms. We believe in continuous learning and support professional development on the job with a budget to back it up. If you bring a desire to do the right thing for our customers, a sense of ownership over the product you work on, and a focus on shipping quality code, we want to hear from you.

Even if you don't tick all these boxes, we want to hear from you. We understand that everyone's experiences are unique.
