The Role:

As a DevOps Engineer, you should be able to combine infrastructure as code, security, and innovation to help create the most secure Contract Management Platform ever built. At Evisort, we hold our data and security consistency along with reliability to the highest standards.

In this role, you will be part of a team to create, deploy, and manage a high-performing, scalable infrastructure that delivers millions of requests globally with sub-second latency. Unlike large organizations where legacy infrastructure already exists, this is an exciting opportunity to shape something from the core.

What You'll Do:

  • Design infrastructure and automated systems to support our distributed architecture
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines and constantly improve its reliability & speed
  • Forecast and plan for the infrastructure needs of a fast-growing SaaS company and find ways to improve efficiency
  • Collaborate with our engineering team to detect and resolve infrastructure problems.
  • Maintain highly available web and backend systems that serve millions of users, and 1000’s of requests per second
  • Closely collaborating with Developers to set up & configure the necessary cloud services in support of new feature development on AWS.
  • Automating as much of engineering operations as possible
  • Securing our infrastructure at both the cloud layer (IAM) and application layer (PKI)
  • Building monitoring systems for both infrastructure and business operations, using internal tools & integrating into established 3rd party SaaS ones
  • Develop tools to enhance Developer Productivity

Skills/Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Computer Science or the equivalent of 5+ years of experience
  • Demonstrable experience in infrastructure as code frameworks, in particular with Terraform, and configuration management using Ansible.
  • Production experience in creating and maintaining cloud environments in AWS, spanning across multiple geographic regions.
  • Experience orchestrating large scale distributed microservice deployments on Kubernetes and EC2. 
  • Experience building and managing EKS and ECS clusters and strong knowledge of the K8 ecosystem.
  • Autoscaling and autohealing based on Prometheus.
  • Strong hands on experience with the AWS ecosystemFamiliarity with service mesh concepts and experience implementing one of the service mesh frameworks like Istio or Linkerd with Kubernetes clusters (circuit breaking, failure injection, retries, and timeouts on the data-plane proxy level, canary deployments using weight based routing for pods and services, etc’).
  • Familiarity with Prometheus/Grafana/Cloudwatch monitoring, ELK/OpenSearch stack, and PagerDuty/Alert Manager for logging and alerting.
  • Familiarity with database technologies such as Postgresql, MySQL, Redis, DynamoDB, and similar.
  • Production experience troubleshooting and autoscaling message queueing clusters such as RabbitMQ, SQS, or Kafka
  • A passion for automation and integrating with build systems such as GitHub, and GitLab CI.
  • Security centric in all approaches to design in infra as code as well as Docker build pipelines and microservice deployments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and enjoy working across an organization from Development and QA through Operations.
  • Ability to quickly learn complex systems and environments, from the network through the application.
  • Experience with Open Telemetry (Honeycomb, Jaeger, Refinery) and observability preferred
