What your impact will look like here

  • Support the software development process by identifying inefficiencies, recommending solutions, automating delivery, and implementing testing.
  • Provide mentorship to other Engineers.
  • Serve as a technical leader for medium to large projects.
  • Demonstrate hands-on experience in Apache Solr or Apache Lucene.
  • Implement effective security protocols, data protection measures, and storage solutions.
  • Perform diagnostic tests, repair defects, and provide technical support.
  • Document processes and prepare reports.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to processes and technologies.
  • Knowledge of any Content Management Systems will be an added advantage.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum/Kanban models.
  • Possess excellent communication, presentation skills, and a strong spirit of collaboration and teamwork.
  • Provision and maintain systems, load balancer configs, firewall rules, databases, and other automation-driven infrastructure tasks using Chef.
  • Automate CI/CD pipelines to build and deploy our software using Chef.

You will love this job if you have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in DevOps
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating across support and engineering departments.
  • Excellent experience with cloud hosting infrastructure using Microsoft Azure.
  • Proficient knowledge of source control management, with a preference for GitHub or GitLab.
  • Strong background and proficiency in using Chef for configuration management.
  • Demonstrated passion for security and identifying opportunities to improve security and testing.

$10,000 - $150,000 a year
