What your impact will look like here
- Support the software development process by identifying inefficiencies, recommending solutions, automating delivery, and implementing testing.
- Provide mentorship to other Engineers.
- Serve as a technical leader for medium to large projects.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience in Apache Solr or Apache Lucene.
- Implement effective security protocols, data protection measures, and storage solutions.
- Perform diagnostic tests, repair defects, and provide technical support.
- Document processes and prepare reports.
- Recommend and implement improvements to processes and technologies.
- Knowledge of any Content Management Systems will be an added advantage.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum/Kanban models.
- Possess excellent communication, presentation skills, and a strong spirit of collaboration and teamwork.
- Provision and maintain systems, load balancer configs, firewall rules, databases, and other automation-driven infrastructure tasks using Chef.
- Automate CI/CD pipelines to build and deploy our software using Chef.
You will love this job if you have
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of experience in DevOps
- Strong communication skills for collaborating across support and engineering departments.
- Excellent experience with cloud hosting infrastructure using Microsoft Azure.
- Proficient knowledge of source control management, with a preference for GitHub or GitLab.
- Strong background and proficiency in using Chef for configuration management.
- Demonstrated passion for security and identifying opportunities to improve security and testing.
$10,000 - $150,000 a year
