We are seeking a bright, resourceful senior engineer to join our DevOps team, responsible for developing automation of our AWS and Kubernetes based cloud environment, including configuration, deployment, auto-scaling, redundancy, monitoring, and integration with third party services. In this role you will be a key individual that will make sure that our systems are up and performing to our growing demand. You will be instrumental in how services are deployed and how data gets to our customers efficiently.
Roles and Responsibilities
Develop modern software test and deployment pipelines in Github Actions.
Migrate legacy components from EC2 and Ansible to Kubernetes and Helm.
Work with application development teams to identify performance and reliability issues in their code.
Implement application monitoring in Datadog to proactively identify and alert on issues.
Support continuous deployment of our microservices, including performance testing, validation and analysis.
Respond to emergencies after business hours as part of an on call rotation.
Qualifications
3+ years experience supporting user facing production applications.
3+ years experience with cloud computing technologies (we use AWS.)
3+ years experience Linux server administration.
3+ years experience programming in: Python, nodejs, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, or bash.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Prometheus and Istio.
Experience with agile software practices (version control, issue tracking, CI/CD.)
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with MongoDB, node.js, Python/asyncio, Linux security.
