In this compelling leadership position, you will plan and direct the work of staff who provide overall direction with technology products and processes; assess enterprise functional needs and implement technology solutions to support; define strategic outlook; coordinate operational activities of the unit through the efforts of subordinate staff managers; coordinate operational activities of the unit through the efforts of staff managers

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

The Senior Director - Azure Cloud Services (hybrid, open to remote) role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership: 
  2. Define and execute the long-term vision for our Azure cloud services portfolio. 
  3. Align cloud strategies with business goals, market trends, and customer needs. 
  4. Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement within the cloud services team. 
  5. Product and Service Development: 
  6. Design and implement Azure infrastructure and services for customer environments. 
  7. Continue to enhance and evolve our Azure platform to incorporate emerging capabilities (e.g. Copilot, Power Platform). 
  8. Develop availability, scalability, and performance plans for the Azure platform. 
  9. Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to enhance existing services and create new offerings. 
  10. Customer Engagement: 
  11. Represent the customer/partner perspective to internal teams (e.g., Engineering) to shape products and services. 
  12. Leverage feedback to develop strategic insights and influence product roadmaps. 
  13. Present business cases to program managers for feature enhancements and improvements. 
  14. Team Leadership: 
  15. Coach and mentor a high-performing team of cloud professionals. 
  16. Provide guidance on cloud architecture, security, and best practices. 
  17. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment. 
  18. Operational Excellence: 
  19. Drive operational efficiency, cost optimization, and resource utilization. 
  20. Ensure compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements. 
  21. Monitor service performance and address any issues promptly. 
  22. Vendor and Partner Management: 
  23. Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Security Architecture, Networks, Risk and Compliance organizations to develop state of the art solutions while adhering to risk and security controls. 
  24. Collaborate with Azure partners and vendors to enhance service offerings. 
  25. Negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and evaluate third-party solutions. 

Qualifications

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Minimum Required Experiences

  • 10+ years in cloud services, with at least 5 years focused on Azure. 
  • 5+ years working in the Financial Services Industry

Desired Experiences

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master degree preferred
  • Certifications: 
  1. Azure architect, security, and engineering certifications preferred (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure Security Engineer Azure Developer) . 
  2. Additional certifications in project management or leadership are a plus.

  2. Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand
  3. Skilled in cloud technologies and cloud computing
  4. Experience helping an organization to plan and manage change in effort to meet strategic objectives
  5. Proven track record of leading successful cloud initiatives and driving business growth
  6. Experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions
  7. Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal
  8. Influencing including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict
  9. Excellent Relationship Management including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc.
  10. Experience identifying and selecting strategic options, and identifying resources to meet the defined objectives
  11. Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Tools

Experience using SharePoint

Skilled in Excel

Skilled in Amazon Web Services (AWS) offerings, development, and networking platforms

Skilled in Microsoft Teams

Strong understanding of Azure cloud architecture, security, and compliance

Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
