We are looking for a leader to build a world-class software development organization to help grow and integrate the various development teams at COMPLY. The Senior Director, Software Engineering will report to the SVP, Software Engineering and will be responsible for all aspects of Software Development. We are looking for someone with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing managers and developers. You are deeply committed to contributing value to our customers. In an agile structure you will establish the standards for software development and influence the strategic decisions, solution development and priorities, based on your expertise and experience. You have the technical expertise to help architect the future of our software development platform running in the cloud. You will collaborate with the various business units to drive integration and architect a scalable infrastructure. You will partner with business and product teams to ensure we can drive the right personas and workflows to support the growth of our business. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the establishment, growth, and mentorship of a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture centered on innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Ensure team accountability in developing secure, scalable, and reliable software solutions in the cloud.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize delivery objectives.
  • Develop and communicate a software roadmap that showcases ongoing business value and advancements in technical capabilities.
  • Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and team priorities to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software releases.
  • Implement best practices for software development, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Identify and mitigate technical debt, system bottlenecks, and other challenges to sustain the long-term health and viability of the software platform.
  • Encourage and facilitate a culture of continuous improvement within the software development teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field is mandatory.
  • Over 10 years of experience in engineering leadership roles, with a proven track record of building and scaling high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency in modern software development tools and practices, including version control systems (e.g., Bitbucket), CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with leaders across the organization to cultivate a strong data culture.
  • Inspirational leadership qualities, adept at developing others and fostering a culture of continuous learning, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, enabling effective decision-making and engagement across all levels of the organization.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in financial services.
  • Certifications: AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins.

$170,000 - $180,000 a year

The compensation range for this role is specific to the United States and takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, training, licensure and certification, and experience. A reasonable estimate of the base salary for this role would be $170,000-$180,000 plus applicable bonus/benefits offerings, etc. as those similarly situated within the Company.
