As senior counsel and a member of Reddit’s Employment Legal team, you will be responsible for all aspects of Reddit’s compliance with employment laws and regulations in the jurisdictions in which we operate and partner with a multitude of stakeholders to execute on Reddit’s employment law strategy.
Reporting into Reddit’s Deputy General Counsel, you will be accountable for providing your internal clients with legal service with delight. You will use your drive, experience and proactive approach to make a significant impact on Reddit’s rapidly-growing business.
What You’ll Do:
- Be a strategic, proactive and pragmatic legal partner and collaborator to our Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, and Privacy teams and other internal stakeholders as they plan and execute their roadmaps.
- Be responsible for advising on and directing employment legal matters, including those relating to employment litigation, employee relations, recruiting, wage/hour, terminations, reductions in force, leaves of absence, diversity and inclusion, privacy, mobility and immigration, compensation, benefits, international expansion, M&A, and executive compensation.
- Work closely with outside counsel to manage both single plaintiff and complex, multi-plaintiff global litigation matters and administrative claims.
- Prepare, review and advise on employment agreements and policies, including offer letters, handbooks, compensation plans and separation agreements.
- Conduct internal investigations, worker classification assessments, and audits.
- Provide legal support and advice regarding employment-related projects, including internal process reviews, new policy roll-outs and implementation, and training programs.
- Design, build and improve legal processes such as employment-related procedures, playbooks and workflows to keep up with company growth.
What We're Looking For:
- 6+ years of employment law experience post law school, with preferably 2+ years in-house at a technology or media company
- Extensive employment litigation background
- Strong command of California employment laws
- Previous international employment law experience
- Stellar reputation for legal acumen, good judgment and thought leadership and regularly interact with c-suite executives in your current role
- Strong soft skills, including the ability to build strong relationships with executives, legal team members, colleagues and internal stakeholders at all levels of the business
- JD, top academic background, and current license in a state bar in the United States

In addition to base salary, this job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission. The base pay range for this position is:
$210,200—$315,300 USD
