We're hiring a Senior Engineering Manager, Cloud Security reporting to our Cloud Security Engineering Leader.
In this role, you'll get to:
- Manage a team help develop features that help enterprise administrations manage security for Atlassian products. We make it simple to create, manage and secure user identities in Atlassian
- Collaborate with architects, product management and design teams to build a feature roadmap to allow us in the best of ways to deliver a high-quality experiences to our customers
- Lead a team to develop new features and integrations to the Atlassian Access product
- Work with a team of engineers, contributing to the team culture through your passion, creativity, and experience. Craft engineering delivery plans, define our measures of success to create an impact
- Create, grow and nurture a motivated team so to meet their goals
- Succeed together with other experienced people
On your first day, we'll expect you to have:
- Experience working in cloud enterprise software
- 8+ years of software development management experience, managing team of 15 plus engineers
- Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies (e.g., XP, scrum).
- Demonstrated experience mentoring, growing teams towards talent retention
- Contribute to the technical and business strategy of the team
- Experience in modern, object-oriented, distributed-systems, programming languages such as Java.
- Programming experience in Java or similar languages, and foundation in data structures, algorithms and distributed system
- Experience building services on cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, Azure or similar.
It's great, but not required if you have:
- Experience managing direct teams and first line managers
- Build scalable micro-services
- API design with REST or GraphQL
- Knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes or Docker containers
- Knowledge of the java/reactive programing paradigm
- Knowledge of building web applications and REST-based APIs on top of relational or NoSQL databases
- Knowledge of modern web application frameworks, such as Spring boot, NodeJS
- Familiarity with developer tools like BitBucket, Jira & Confluence
At Atlassian, we tie our base pay ranges to role and level. In the United States, that means your base pay ranges will fall into one of three geographic pay zones depending on your location. Our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $187,500 - $287,500
Zone B: $168,700 - $258,800
Zone C: $155,600 - $238,700
Within each range, base pay is determined based on your experience. This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
