Senior Financial Analyst

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will report to the Manager, Financial Analysis. You will own major budgeting and forecasting processes to help Mission Cloud maximize revenue and profitability across service lines, and drive sustainable growth through sound financial investment into the business. You will provide analytical guidance on the performance and outlook of the business to inform stakeholders, senior management, and the Board. Your deep understanding of Mission Cloud will help you use data to build insights about our key performance indicators and financial risks and opportunities. 

This position is 100% remote.

Responsbilities

  • Own monthly, quarterly and annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and strategic planning processes for Mission Cloud’s consulting services revenue streams
  • Drive key finance processes including scenario modeling, workforce planning and management reporting
  • Partner with business leaders to monitor and validate financial forecast assumptions, ensuring accuracy
  • Develop high-quality, quantitative financial analysis including monthly P&L reports, what-if analysis, trend analysis and budget to actual variances
  • Create complex, driver-based budgeting and forecasting models, produce data analytics and visualizations for senior management, and support Board package preparation
  • Monitor key performance indicators, analyze trends, investigate variances and identify growth opportunities
  • Prepare deliverables for Executive and Board meetings, in partnership with business stakeholders
  • Drive financial model updates in Adaptive Insights based on feedback from business partners and evolving business needs
  • Own ad-hoc financial analysis projects driven by business needs

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Finance, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Data Analytics or a related field
  • Experience working in finance / FP&A, business intelligence or consulting 
  • Ability to read, analyze, contextualize, and interpret common financial statements and business documents
  • Advanced spreadsheet modeling skills
  • Ability to own end-to-end forecasting processes and complex financial analysis, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work with Essbase, Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Hyperion, Cognos or similar financial planning tools, either as a back-end modeler or a front-end power user
  • Ability to work with BI tools such as Tableau or Qlik
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification (required within 1 year of hire)

$133,800 - $144,000 a year

Placement within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and ability as evaluated during the interview process. Range: $133,800 - $144,000
