Senior FP&A Analyst

The dscout team is on the search for an experienced Senior FP&A Analyst to support our growing company and more specifically, our Finance team. This role would report directly to our CFO. You will be responsible for utilizing both quantitative and qualitative analyses of all operational aspects of the company in order to evaluate dscout's progress toward achieving our goals, and help map out future goals and plans. You will play a critical role in considering economic and business trends, reviewing past company performance, and anticipating obstacles and potential issues, all with an eye toward forecasting dscout's future financial results. Much of this work will be collaborative, and involve close partnerships with many other departments across dscout. Lastly, while this role will be mostly remote, it will involve some occasional office visits for training and leadership opportunities. what you will do at dscout
- Create, update, and maintain financial models and detailed forecasts of the company's future operations
- Assess and track overall financial health, primarily by using key financial ratios common to SaaS companies and marketplaces
- Determine gross margin and net margin contributions of our products or product lines
- Examine and evaluate the cost-efficiency of each department, in light of what percentage of the company's financial resources each department consumes.
- Work with individual departments to prepare budgets and consolidate into the company's overall corporate budget
- Compare historical operating results against budgets and forecasts, and perform variance analyses to explain differences in performance and make improvements going forward
- Consider opportunities for the company to expand or grow; map out growth plans, including capital expenditures and investments
- Evaluate new investments or products by looking at return on investment analyses
- Build monthly and quarterly reporting packages for senior management team and the Board of Directors
- Build relationships with peers and financial leaders across the organization
what you will bring to dscout
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required
- Minimum 4+ years' experience in corporate FP&A functions, preferably in a SaaS industry setting
- Experience utilizing NetSuite
- Previous financial modeling experience for a range of reporting focuses
- Previous experience creating dashboards and KPI reporting
- Proficiency with systems and previous automation and/or process improvement a plus
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, both oral and written
