👋 Who are we?

Nordhealth’s mission is to build software that improves the daily lives of healthcare professionals. We build software that empower veterinary and therapy professionals to provide the best possible care experiences to their patients. Our products are used daily by over 50,000 professionals in over 10,000 clinics and hospitals annually across 30+ countries with 17+ years of experience in healthcare and veterinary software.

We understand that talent comes from everywhere and anywhere. The greater our diversity, the better the products we deliver. That’s why we are a remote-first company, headquartered in Helsinki, Finland, with all 400+ employees working either remotely or from collaboration hubs. While our market presence is currently strongest in the Nordics, our customer base is rapidly growing in our other markets too, especially in Europe and North America (more at our website nordhealth.com.)

About the role

We are here to create great healthcare products. That’s at our very core, but it’s the people who make companies great, not the other way around. We spend more time with our co-workers than anyone else in our lives. Being part of an exceptional team is not only important for your personal mindfulness but key for your professional progression.

We are now looking for an experienced Frontend Developer to join Nordhealth to help us with development on our Vue 3 frontend using the Nord Design System. We are splitting the frontend out from our Python/Django backend, and rebuilding it in Vue 3 (using Nuxt 3). While migrating the frontend, and in new developments going forward, we need an experienced team player who can take independent responsibility in front-end developments for a product team.

We are looking for a person who is collaborative, empathetic, and enjoys the freedom that working remotely gives them. This might be a unique opportunity for YOU! 🚀

In this role, you will

  • Architect, build and test features in the new Vue 3 frontend for Provet Cloud
  • Work with backend engineers to define requirements for REST API endpoints
  • Create a great user experience with help from UX Designers and Product Managers
  • Review work of peers and provide feedback to other engineers
  • Ensure best practices are in use for all frontend developments
  • Help maintain a culture of empathy, safety and belonging where all voices are heard
  • Work together with our internal design system team to integrate and evolve Nord Design System
  • Build new user-facing features with beautiful and scalable UI components
  • Improve frontend performance
  • Work on accessibility best practices

What will help you to be successful in this role?

Ideally, you have already gained some experience from working in a fast growing, global SaaS company. We will appreciate your strong experience with Vue or other modern frontend frameworks, preferably using TypeScript.

In addition, our humble wish would be that you have:

  • Experience with Vue 3 and Composition API
  • Experience with Nuxt 3
  • Experience with automated frontend testing
  • Experience with design systems or Web Components
  • Experience in building accessible services
  • Knowing a thing or two about DevOps and CI/CD
  • Full proficiency in English, written and spoken

However, don’t give up if you don’t meet every single point on our list. We’re dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive team, where everyone has a chance to grow. So if you’re excited about a role, but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right person for our Team. ❤️

What’s in it for you?

At Nordhealth, we do things a little bit differently. We value continuous improvement, diverse teams and autonomy which drive our collaboration. Nordhealth operates in a rapidly changing healthcare field worldwide, and we are seeking colleagues who would be eager to be part of it.

In addition, we offer:

  • A chance to work remotely from anywhere in Europe
  • The chance to work in a meaningful industry and in a fast-growing, global company on a path to changing digital healthcare
  • Talented and engaged colleagues in an international environment and a Team that values diversity and inclusion
  • Flexible working hours
  • Culture that supports work-life balance
  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • Learning and professional growth opportunities
  • The tools you need, and enjoy using
  • Remote support to help you set up your home office if you choose to work remotely
  • Frequent company events and talented colleagues from around the world

If you enjoy working in a fast-growing and international environment with the possibility to make an impact, this might be the perfect job for you. Apply now! We'll fill the position as soon as we find the right person.
