Branch is seeking an experienced Security professional to join our team. This position will work in all aspects of security, so broad security knowledge is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a background in securing applications, networks, cloud environments, and corporate devices.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Monitor all environments for potential security risks
  2. Maintain logging and monitoring infrastructure
  3. Will be the internal expert on the companies SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tool
  4. Will manage the 3rd Party Vendor Management process
  5. Respond to security incidents in a measured, programmatic, and timely manner
  6. This position may lead and/or participate in incident response activities
  7. Implement security automation and orchestration as a means to do more, faster, with a high degree of accuracy
  8. Work closely with out Cloud Operations team to guide them on building appropriately hardened and configured infrastructure, platforms, and applications
  9. Regularly test the security posture using various tools and manual techniques
  10. Identify, manage, and remediate security vulnerabilities
  11. Provide insight and recommendations in Patch & Vulnerability Management meetings
  12. Implement, maintain, and monitor security controls

Qualifications: 

  1. 5-7 years of experience in a similar role
  2. Excellent communication skills
  3. Oral and written communication to an audience of employees as well as to the leadership team is necessary
  4. Cloud infrastructure security experience preferred
  5. Ability to independently work security incidents from identification to resolution
  6. Experience investigating incidents such as; malware, phishing, DLP, and other security events
  7. Experience protecting Cloud resources, along with Linux, Mac, and Windows devices
  8. Solid ethics and core values
  9. Situations sometimes require discretion and may be of a confidential or sensitive nature
  10. Experience using or interested in learning various security tools such as
  11. Burp Suite, Nessus, Nmap, Kali, Cuckoo, XSOAR, Metasploit, SonarQube, etc
  12. Familiarity with security frameworks like SOC 2, PCI, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CCPA 
  13. Experience with, or interest in learning, security orchestration tools
  14. Scripting experience using Bash and Python is preferred
  15. Certifications a plus (SANS/CISSP, etc)
