Senior Internal Auditor

StackAdapt is looking for a bright, adaptable, and motivated Senior Internal Auditor to join our growing team. The Internal Audit team is leading the charge towards creating a strong controls environment within the organization, but also has the exciting opportunity to consult and advise on various Finance and Business projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for testing, evaluating, and remediating internal controls and findings across process areas which govern financial reporting. They will work closely with stakeholders across the entire organization in ensuring the effectiveness of processes and internal controls. The successful candidate will also participate in process and system implementation / improvement related projects, as well as execute operational risk-based audit engagements.
StackAdapt is a Remote First company. We are open to candidates located anywhere in Canada for this position.
What you'll be doing:
- Performing process walkthroughs
- Executing quarterly control certifications
- Testing internal controls in-scope for internal controls over financial reporting (ICOFR)
- Documenting and communicating findings
- Working with control owners to implement remediation plans
- Coordinating and assisting with review of vendor SOC reports
- Support the execution of operational risk-based audit engagements
- Maintain the organization’s Risk Register and lead conversations with Risk Champions across the company
- Support the completion of ad hoc Internal Audit requests from management
What you’ll bring to the table:
- 3+ years of experience in an internal / external audit or controls role
- Professional Accounting Designation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities
- Previous experience working in / with clients in the technology sector
- Well developed understanding of a strong controls environment
- Experience executing operational audits
- Experience working with Workiva
