The Senior iOS Applications Developer will be responsible for designing and developing advanced features for our iOS applications, as well as maintaining and optimizing existing features. You will work closely with the rest of the development team, including designers and backend developers, to ensure that our apps meet the highest standards of quality and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Swift and Objective-C, as well as experience working with iOS frameworks such as UIKit, Core Data, and Core Location. Experience with third-party libraries and APIs, and a solid understanding of mobile app architecture is also a must. As a senior developer you should also have a strong track record of delivering high-quality iOS apps and be able to work well in a fast-paced environment. You are passionate about iOS development and want to be part of a dynamic team.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product Managers and Designers to develop consumer-facing products.
  • Collaborate with web-front-end and backend.
  • Resolve defects, support testing effort, and deploy production code on a frequent basis.
  • Be a technical pillar for the engineering team through collaboration with other engineers.
  • Analyze the technical feasibility of product features and help to guide feature development and roadmap from a technical perspective.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience required.
  • 3+ years relevant experience as a mobile developer.
  • Experience writing code in Objective-C and Swift, for iOS, iPadOS and watchOS.
  • Experience with Services, Broadcasts, Content Providers.
  • Experience with Reactive programming.
  • Strong experience with iOS development and a solid understanding of Bluetooth technology and its integration into mobile apps.
  • Experience working with RESTful API’s and networking.
  • Knowledge of packaging, signing and provisioning mobile applications
  • Knowledge of Mobile Web, HTML5, JavaScript desirable.
  • Troubleshooting and fixing issues in mobile applications.
  • Strong optimization experience with mobile development
  • Experience developing and troubleshooting for different versions of mobile operating systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with BLE connected devices and applications is a huge plus.
  • Experience with Web-service development and Restful design patterns.
  • Experience building use case driven software with Agile Software Development and Test Driven Development methodologies.

$150,000 - $150,000 a year

The annual base salary range for this position based in the United States is listed above. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on Eargo's compensation practices, job related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and trainings, in addition to geographic location. Based on the factors above, Eargo utilizes the full width of the range.
