Legal and Corporate Governance team at GoGlobal is growing and we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Legal Counsel to join our international team. The successful candidate will be an experienced privacy legal expert with excellent knowledge of data protection laws. Next to being first contact point for company’s privacy matters you will draft and negotiate commercial agreements, provide legal advice and support to various departments within the company. This position requires a commercial mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. In this fully remote role, you will get an opportunity to grow further as a legal professional and gain truly international experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and accurate legal advice to internal stakeholders with focus on privacy matters;
  • Draft, review and negotiate data processing and various commercial agreements;
  • Practically manage privacy risks and conduct privacy assessments;
  • Draft, review and maintain internal policies and process to strengthen internal privacy framework;
  • Stay abreast of privacy related regulations and changes in relevant laws to ensure GoGlobal's ongoing compliance;
  • Conduct training sessions for internal stakeholders;
  • Perform other legal duties/responsibilities as requested by your manager.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in law, CIPP is an advantage but not necessary;
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience as a legal counsel;
  • Strong knowledge of GDPR and other privacy laws and regulations;
  • Experience in advising on privacy matters, drafting privacy related documents, and building respective processes is essential;
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating different commercial agreements, especially Master Services Agreements as well as Standard Terms and Conditions, and providing commercial legal advice to internal business stakeholders and exposure to areas such as corporate, HR or other outsourcing services or technology is an advantage;
  • Commercially focused and solution-oriented mindset;
  • Excellent legal drafting, project management, communication and stakeholder management skills;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English;
  • Experience with Office (Word, Excel), Office 365, SharePoint.
